Notable Programmes and Events

1st Gear:

Science of Motor Vehicles


Our 4NT Science students participated in an enrichment programme on The Science of Motor Vehicles conducted by EduTorque. Besides learning about the inner workings of a car, students had an opportunity to take the hot seat in a Motorsports GP Car simulator. Students also made a site visit to Bridgestone Tyre Singapore where they learnt about the business aspect in running a car workshop and the behind-the-scenes work inside the automotive industry.

Environmental Explorer

at Singapore Polytechnic (School of Applied Science)

Our Secondary 3 students attended an Advanced Elective Module (AEM) where they were exposed to the different environmental challenges faced by modern societies today through various hands-on activities and workshops in the areas of air quality management, water resource management and solid waste management.

LEGO Workshop

The workshop for Secondary 2s provides a “hands on, minds on” environment that supports and enriches the students’ learning and understanding of the science concepts from the Interactions & Energy themes of the Lower Secondary Science syllabus.

Hosting of Overseas Students

The Science Department hosted 20 students and 2 teachers from Hong Kong and Kowloon Chiu Chow Public Association Secondary School on 29 and 30 June 2017. Through this platform, students from both schools had the opportunity to broaden their horizons and cultivate respect for each other’s culture.

Overseas Trip to Hong Kong
