As Humanities educators, we see ourselves playing a key role in helping students acquire the right values and life skills to survive in an extremely fast-paced and interconnected world. The skills taught train students to do what has become fundamental; using existing broad-based knowledge to create/innovate new knowledge. It forces them to consider multiple perspectives and understand the intricacies and complexities of the constantly evolving environment we live in.

The Humanities department has been focusing on Assessment for Learning strategies (AfL) and promoting self-directed and independent learning. This year, we continue to work on infusing Thinking Routines to promote critical thinking.
